HOW DEEP IS THE YWCA POOL & WHAT IS THE TEMPERATURE?

The pool is 3 1/2 feet  to 8 feet.  We always keep the pool water at a temperature of 87º.  Most Aquatic Classes are performed in the shallow end, unless otherwise noted. 

IS IT POSSIBLE TO TRY A CLASS BEFORE JOINING?

Yes.  Walk-in rates are $10.00 for a one time class participation or one time use of the Body Shop.  Walk-ins are permitted for any Aquatics Class—space permitting.  Walk-ins are NOT permitted for any Swimming Instruction class. 

IS CHILD CARE AVAILABLE WHILE I TAKE A CLASS?

No, at this time child care is not available. However, if this is something you would like the YWCA to consider, please stop by the Front Desk and mention your request.

RETURNED CHECK FEE

There is a $25.00 fee for any check returned to the YWCA for insufficient funds.

ARE NON YWCA MEMBERS ABLE TO USE THE FACILITY?

Non-Members are able to purchase a 5 time use Nibbler. The Nibbler can be used for participation in Aquatics Classes and plunges. Nibblers may NOT be used for Swimming Instruction classes or to access the Body Shop.  The Body Shop is for YWCA Members ONLY.

CAN MEN USE THE YWCA?

Yes, the YWCA is a co-ed facility.  Men are welcome to participate in any activity, except where noted. There is a separate Locker Room and pool entrance for men.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED?

The YWCA accepts cash, personal check, money order, all major Credit/Debit cards D. All checks are made payable to:  YWCA

PROPER SWIMMING ATTIRE

The YWCA requires that all participants wear an appropriate swimsuit/swim trunks.  Please keep in mind the YWCA is a co-ed organization.  Bathing caps are optional.

HOW ARE THE CLASSES SET UP?

Each session of classes run MONTHLY.  Once one session has ended, another session promptly begins.
