Monday - Friday              8:30 AM to  7:00 PM

Saturday                          9:00 AM to  NOON

THE  BODY SHOP @ THE YWCA  

The Body Shop features fitness equipment  purchased through a grant received from the Community Foundation.  There is no additional cost to use the Body Shop for YWCA members.  In fact, you must have a current and valid YWCA membership to use the Body Shop.  Grab your sneakers, water bottle and come work out in a relaxed environment.  Feel the burn!

              

CLASS & PROGRAM REGISTRATION

You must pre-register for any class or program that you wish to join.  You can register: (1) At the Front Desk (2) telephoning  the YWCA or (3) Fill out the registration form.  Instructors are not responsible for registering participants.  Pre-registering is necessary to secure your place.  The YWCA can not guarantee access to a class without registration.  All classes and/or programs must be paid by the starting date.  Class and program participants will be charged a $5.00 Late Fee for each unpaid class. 

  • THE YWCA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO       CANCEL ANY CLASS/PROGRAM IF A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE DO NOT REGISTER.   Enrollees will be notified by telephone should a class need to be cancelled.

LOST & FOUND

The YWCA is not responsible for lost or stolen property. However, we do keep lost and found items whenever possible.

UNDER 12 POLICY 

The YWCA of Greater Johnstown requires that children under the age of 12 receive supervision from  either a parent, guardian or a designated care-giver age 15 or above, while within the facility unless these children are enrolled in a paid program which provide an instructor.  The YWCA of Greater Johnstown cannot assume responsibility for all the supervisory needs of youngsters under the age of 12. Therefore, all children under the age of twelve require supervisory care during unstructured YWCA programming.

YWCA RENTAL PACKAGES

When planning your next event or birthday party the YWCA has various rental opportunities available for your needs.  Meeting rooms, a full service kitchen and the YWCA pool are all available for rent.  The YWCA requires a two week prior notice for all pool rentals.   All rentals are subject to availability.  To schedule a tour of our facility, request rental contract information including pricing or to check for availability, please telephone the YWCA at 814-536-3519.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Our YWCA welcomes volunteer help in many areas of operations.  This includes youth programming aides, board members and committee members, special event assistants, chaperones, pool assistance and more.  If you think you would be interested in becoming one of the YWCA’s many dedicated volunteers, please contact the YWCA, at 814-536-3519  or complete a volunteer enrollment form at the Front Desk. 

REFUND POLICY

 Membership dues are NOT refundable. 

 If the YWCA cancels a class or program, “class make up” credits  will be issued.  Cash refunds are only given if the class or program can not be rescheduled.  If a participant cancels enrollment in a program prior to it’s start, the YWCA will issue a credit only, minus a 25% processing fee.  No refunds or credits will be issued once the program has started.  In case of medical emergencies, a refund will be issued for remaining classes.  A doctor’s excuse must be presented to receive this refund. 

ACCEPTED INSURANCES

The YWCA has partnered with a few well known insurance carriers to provide their members access to our facility.  Call the YWCA Front Office for more information.

WHAT IS A “PLUNGE”

The word plunge is a term derived by the YWCA which simply means open swim time.  During plunge time individuals can lap swim, wade in the water, perform instructed therapy, relax,etc.
